If you want to read lengthy, drawn-out reviews of the movies in theaters now (or soon to be) then this isn't the blog you should be reading. Most of the posts from The Other Critic are short, sweet and to the point; that's how we roll here.

We also don't just focus on current movies. Let's face it, there are plenty of good movies that have been made, and sometimes viewers have a tendency to forget that there is more to life than movies in the theaters.

With all that said, please enjoy the short and concise, and sometimes opinionated reviews. If you don't like them, that's okay—we won't hold it against you.

The Last Airbender

Finally. A movie that M. Night Shyamalan couldn't mess up, right? The Last Airbender—when I saw the trailer for this I thought, hey, this might actually be a cool show. Then I saw who was directing it and almost immediately wrote it off as a movie that would be awesome three fourths of the way through and then tank at the end.

I am pleased to be able to say that this wasn't the case. With only a little bit of unconvincing acting, this was a great movie. Awesome adaption from the cartoon that will more than likely span itself into at least two additional movies.

I am looking forward to the next Airbender movie.
